Your top review says you cover more local theaters than fandango, which was my initial thought.

Grim Fandango would never have happened if someone had to justify it with a spreadsheet.

As a side note, Grim Fandango was just re-released as a 'remastered' version.

I haven't tried ResidualVM yet, but do have my original Grim Fandango CD so am looking forward to trying it out.

The processor types are incorrect, but Grim Fandango did rely on a mix of clock time and cycle count for the timing of automatic elevator doors, and faster CPUs made them unusable.

Escape was probably the weakest of all the MI games and hasn't aged as well Grim Fandango or any of the other MI games due to its art style and the early 3D engine.

Would someone who's played both Grim Fandango and Secret of Monkey Island (one of my all-time favorite games, also released by LucasArts about 8 years prior to Grim) be willing to provide their comparison of the two?

Here, I'll open Fandango and see what's playing around here." (or just pulling up the phone without telling them, which I'd regard as weirder, personally), I say "Yeah a movie sounds fun 'What movies are playing nearby?'" and we're immediately looking at movie times together.

Fandango makes you apply for that on Commission Junction, and they've turned me down twice so far.
