The Starbucks that launched wasn't really intended to be a coffeehouse, so much as a local boutique bean retailer.

Here was my first experience observing someone using Google Glass in the field, in a SF coffeehouse: >See attractive woman.

That was probably an overhyped media story de jure, but some sort of hybrid bar/coffeehouse/bookstore would be my ultimate fantasy nerd/intellectual hangout.

At least at the start, it's like a little coffeehouse that a clique discovers and makes their own, and starts holding events there.

A clique, a subreddit, a treehouse, a coffeehouse, a salon, a third place, a safe space, inside the magic circle...

If I can circle this, star it, and shout it from the rooftops: if you meet someone at a meetup/conference/random coffeehouse or you Internet-meet them in HN comments or a blog discussion or whatever follow that up with an email.
