Years ago, when Jolt Cola was released, the media trope of caffeinated programming fuels began in earnest.

Notable examples would be caffeinated black coffee and unsweetened tea, which provide nearly zero food energy while the caffeine temporarily boosts metabolism.

I usually only have a single cup of caffeinated and then follow up with a few cups of decaf.
