Spotify app itself doesn't support AirPlay/Chromecast but some 3rd party apps allow you to stream Spotify to them.

On another note, Apple have a pretty good story with Airplay - does Spotify on iOS support that fully?

AirPlay Recorder works quite well, but it's slow because it plays and records the full songs.

I haven't used the Android app, but the iOS app, despite its awful UI, works fine and supports AirPlay to an Apple TV.

This seems like a great start of having an alternative to Airplay, particularly the ability to discover all local Chromecasts, and play media to them selectively.
