The interleaved memory access of the CPU & Agnus means that the amount of data that can be pulled from the RAM is directly related to the bus speed.

The 500 could also use a 1MB Agnus chip and one could easily update trapdoor RAM.

Amiga's Agnus and AGA were baby GPUs already with programmable steps, even if rather basic.

The copper was a video-sequencing co-processor that lived as part of the Agnus chip.

Or much better, the Agnus chip could have had this scratchpad added into it.

If only the Mac 128k had an Agnus like the Amiga.

I expected to see all chip revisions (the multiple agnus, denise, gary, buster...), with any known differences they have.

Conveiently, at the default hires (640x horiz resolution) 68k cpu would always be able to access chip ram, as the cpu is only able to use half the cycles, and at 4 color the blitter in Agnus uses most of the other half to stream bitplanes to Denise.

It's not like saying "it's the real thing" makes coca-cola "the real thing", or saying "100% agnus beef" makes whatever BS the sell at McDonalds good to eat.

The copper (named because it's a coprocessor) is a separate execution core contained within Agnus, one of the custom chips.

Note that the game needs 1MB chip, and thus needs an ECS (1MB chip capable) Agnus.

The Amiga with its revolutionary coprocessors (Denise, Agnus, Paula) was a game changer.
