No pharmacy is open and even if they were, they wouldn't help him. Nurses at Heathrow couldn't help him either.

There should be a grocery store, barber, coffeeshop, pharmacy, etc, within a half-mile to a mile of most housing. * Housing arranged in blocks, with a shared yard for all people on the block.

Here's a tip for others - you can buy Lactase pills at a pharmacy and take them just before you eat any meal that contains milk. This gives you the enzymes you need without your body producing in it.

Or, knowing exactly what I need, I could order it from a Canadian pharmacy where the cost of exactly the same inhaler is less than the cost of shipping. $70 and a doctor's visit isn't a big deal for me anymore.

As an anecdotal example, when visiting Beijing, I had some trouble breathing, so I went to a pharmacy to buy an inhaler. I didn't have insurance that worked in China, so I had to pay out of pocket.

I couldn't get exact numbers for pharmacy, but nationally, it skews female over male. Again, would women be well served by diverting some of these students to computer science rather than remaining in health care?

For the life of me, I can't understand why this is such a trendy topic on HN. If you walk into any grocery store or pharmacy, there are at least two aisles stocked with nothing but meal-replacement shakes. One of the aisles is targeted at young people, with marketing themes around bodybuilding or triathlon training.

It is a pharmacy benefit, in other words, over-the-counter medication. In my personal experience, I pay significantly less without the coverage than with it.

But because there is no profitability this medication is not currently manufactured in the US. Had I been in the UK I could have walked into a pharmacy and bought this medication for £10. Incidentally, while I was in line, the woman in front of me was purchasing a perscription of antibiotics, which cost $200, but she only had $100, so they only sold her half the dosage!

I'm still reading and just looking at the screenshots and I have to say I very much prefer the Tarsnap design not the cheap template one which doesn't really look very trustworthy to me and is probably more suited for an online pharmacy.

If you do pre-med but can't get into med school, you can still get into public health, physical therapy, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, etc... If you do CS but can't get a job at Google, you can get into TPS reports or be unemployed.
