I guess I just assumed it was something Github had green-lighted. I guess it is not.

Some days I wish I could purchase a huge lighted sign, kilometers in length, and place it on the moon. It'd say "The internet is not broken" I think I'd make it flash.

If we paid a flat fee every month to have our houses lighted, I bet our light bulbs would be durable as heck. Obviously this is not going to be feasible for a while.

They smoked blunts all day, lighted up books in front of the teachers, even brought some teachers to tears, they bullied kids and so on. They were very excellent students and didn't have to learn for exams.

For a sample, suppose a barn burns down right after someone chucks a lighted match in the barn. You can't say that the match was "necessary," the barn could have been struck by lightning or arson and still burned.

Most people do not want an entire house, or even a single room, lighted purely by LEDs. Same goes for the colour: on paper it's nice to read that colour can set a certain mood and such, but is there really any practical use? Who wants to sit in a blue/green/red room anyway?

If you remember I green-lighted 5 projects. - 1 was aborted before start through mutual agreement after further market research - 2 were aborted because the devs did not manage to complete the MVP. Lack of motivation mainly.

Imagine a service which provided lighted, security-monitored bike racks at forty or fifty stations around town, with insurance against theft and an iPhone app to tell me if a particular rack has space for my bike at this moment. I might well expect to pay $10 a month for that service.

I've put quite a bit of thought on it and my guess is that the truck driving workforce is going to evaporate almost overnight once self driving trucks are green-lighted. It's going to be hard for a human to compete unless he can drive 24x7, never get tired, have split-second reflexes, and works for 65 cents worth of electricity a day...

Having your customers sitting lined up in a row in coffee shops with their laptop lids with the lighted apple logo pointing outward to the street on these very same streets must be very valuable advertising. I'm constantly amazed when I walk by coffee shops and see the typical 75% apple market share, when just a decade ago they were really a niche player.

I feel like having a second screen, especially one I have to hold in my hands, could only distract me from this effect and remind me that I'm actually sitting on a couch, staring at a big lighted box... which doesn't really sound like fun to me.

Given the right language design, I don't see why the editor can't keep track of all of these details, revealing types on mouseover and greying out vars that are ambiguously typed, much as syntax errors are hi-lighted in programmer's editors.
