Boingo access only for personal platinum Amex, Gogo AND Boingo for the business platinum Amex.

Personal plat gives you an unlimited Boingo subscription - but it looks like although Gogo is a roaming partner, the subscription is not good on Gogo.

You'd think Boingo would have explored this from the start with their Wifi connection.

Danny Elfman and The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo were called New Wave, too, as I recall.

The consumer one does have Boingo access, though, which can come in handy.

I think TCP/IP-over-DNS has been done for getting free internet over paid Boingo hotspots in airports.

Despite the only.aero I've ever seen was Boingo which seemed like a rather tenuous link.

My airline of choice doesn't have any publicly released plans to upgrade their fleet like that, they are still using Boingo or whatever it's called.

Is Gogo vs Boingo basically business vs consumer?

Actually I'd trust Boingo more than Facebook as a platform.

I believe Boingo has hotspots on the ground only.

I had downloaded the (I believe) Boingo iOS app, which works by performing an in-app purchase for the amount of time you want to use their wireless network in the airport.

Living in So Cal, I was fortunate to get to see Oingo Boingo several times, all at small venues, including once as their “fan club name”, the “Clowns of Death”.

Between my $200 in airline credit yearly, comp' Boingo/Gogo wifi, airport lounged, etc, its worth the $450/year annual fee.

It's $400/year, but you get the 10 GoGo passes, free Boingo, $200 credit in various airlines fees (excess baggage fees, etc.).

Boingo is also used on the Washington state ferries.
