My real options were the Mustang Mach-e, Volvo XC40 Recharge, Hyundai Kona, Polestar 2.

Six sigma is a farce, and trying to manage people with a set of bastardized statistics horseshit as your polestar is failure personified.

I drive a Polestar 2, and someone asked if it was my favorite car I've owned.

Mercedes has AMG chip tuning, Volvo calls their stuff Polestar (swedes and their funny english), BMW does it at least for the 1-series, etc etc.

On my Polestar 2, I was surprised how in actual use, friction braking was basically zero - to the point where when you start a trip the brakes are used for a few seconds to make sure they're still working (and scrub them a bit.) In actual driving - without trying particularly on my part - it's just always regen.

(I bought the 3 w/ 8K miles on it for $20k; I bought the Polestar w/ 20K miles on it for $29K.) The Mazda 3 has a vastly better interface - better auto-dimming headlights, tons of buttons for climate, stereo, etc.

Polestar's recent vehicle launches have gone extremely poorly because the software is so buggy.

Also Geely are trying to sell Volvo (and Polestar) so further integration s unlikely.

Polestar/Geely is there and the new models are popular for small-volume expensive cars.
