Who got fired for mistaking a pendant for a calculator?

I would guess that the woman who stepped on the pendant land-mine had thought the pendant was some kind of Kenyan abacus.

I bet nobody got fired for mistaking a pendant for a calculator.

I tap a button on the side of a pendant sized device and say the name of the person I want to talk to and it happens.

* Later, a women asks whether the pendant the author is wearing, which is from Nairobi, is "a calculator".

I imagine that without haptic feedback, so far it makes more sense to be looking at your hands while you're using them in VR. But I had the same thoughts -- would it be better to have a setup where the Leap Motion is on a pendant or something so it's mounted on your chest?

Too often, privacy discussions on HN are pendant on mythical notions of privacy being considered sacred until very recently.

Sadly people call you a pendant if you end every sentence with "to the best of my knowledge" and an egotist if you don't ...I'd still say that the lack of undo and the lack of confirmation in that particular widget makes it a bad idea... although a "get me out of here" link may very well be in order...the people-who-know-less-about-the-web-than-me seem to crop up a lot ... oh yeah, they're the ones paying me... so generally they get what they ask for even if it does mean i have to come back in a week and remove the "please lose my changes" button...
