OpenHands raised $18.8M in a Series A led by Madrona to build the open, secure, and model-agnostic platform for cloud coding agents.

The underlying technology of the madrona soundplane can be implemented at audio rate, which, by definition, should be fast enough to obviate this need.

The Soundplane from Madrona Labs[0] certainly merits a mention here.

Ignition is nice (but do most of their investments in the Bay Area now, wtf), and I've never talked to Madrona but they seem to be the other one.

It's probably a good fit for keyboard musicians, but I'd recommend the true hacker to pick up this indy marvel: Madrona SoundPlane-A[4], which has been in development for approximately 4 years.

But beyond Madrona and Trilogy (who is virtually unknown even here in town -- they deserve more spotlight) and Maveron (if you're in consumer), you have to go raise in SF/Valley or in NYC for the breakout round.

Given your alternative method, when I purchased Madrona Labs' Aalto, one of my favorite virtual instruments released in recent memory, I would have needed to endure three separate installation processes to have access to the plug-in in each app where I might want to use it.

Based on what people had said, I was geared up for four months of a soggy, misty mess, but it wasn't that at all— the autumn there was splendid, with tons of breezy, cool days where the sun still shone, with the trees around my place in Madrona showing brilliant colour for weeks on end.

Madrona Labs' Aalto is probably my favorite software synthesizer in my 18 years making music with computers.
