We routinely filter out nuisance emails from Nigerian princes but very few people try to filter out the crazies.

No where near this many Americans have died at the hands of 'crazies in that religion (Islam)'.

Both from outside the movement (See: the straw feminist trope) and within the movement (from a small minority of crazies).

They just bring out all the crazies and the articles are typically inconclusive at best and opinionated and divisive at worst.

If 'reddit didn't know who they were firing' is plausible then much of the stuff the crazies are saying would be plausible too.

And crazies who think that Obama is a secret atheist muslim who is fighting a secret war of confiscation and redistribution against America.

Sure, I'd maybe spend some time and/or money, but I don't think anyone but the crazies would start shooting.

The Republicans are considered far-right nationalists, warmongers, and religious crazies.

Just so you know: I 1000% agree with you that giving equal weight to antivax crazies and professional epidemiologists would constitute "undue weight".

Perhaps a few crazies do indeed think that, but most of the ones during the protests were talking about "intervention", due to considered abuse of the institutions by this corrupt government.
