"They're patriots" This is the same argument Obama tried to use with Abbvie while trying to block their takeover of shire for tax purposes.

I'm somewhat surprised by the partnership with Abbvie, who is widely known as an "old school pharma company", not exactly a bastion of innovative thinking and risk taking.

As someone who can look up double digit profit margins for Eli Lilly/J&J/Pfizer/Novartis/Novo Nordisk/Abbvie/Merck/etc, it doesn’t look like a complicated problem.
