There's a whole series of unasked questions going on there: * Why is the button blue - what led to that conclusion? * Why is green the right colour?

Lots of people with nothing to do but hate and or give unasked-for advice jump on these known timesinks if you give them your attention. Not worth responding to them.

Written in job description then I don't see why should I provide them with my insight unasked. Especially since no good deed goes unpunished.

It's easy to be an armchair critic dispensing unasked-for advice but harder still to just listen.

Seems like one of the major unasked questions - what sort of monetary policy will work best for cryptocurrency. And what will be the decision process for that policy.

Systemd and PulseAudio are getting pushed down everybody's throat, unasked for. They are both horrible to work with and suck quite a bit, both introduced way prematurely and buggy.

There's no way that the fellow is going to find it helpful in any way, and it's seriously demeaning to offer the unasked-for "advice" that their hobby is probably not worth pursuing further, and maybe they should just go do something else instead. If you have to preface your words with "Not trying to be a dick, but&;&."

As an NYC resident, I see cops helping people with directions and MTA cards all the time, often unasked. RE: being "horrible" to abuse survivors, again, I think your perceptions have been skewed by all the stories you've heard about this happening, and all the stories you haven't heard about it not happening, because it's not newsworthy when it doesn't happen.

Bundling that sort of behavior with AwesomeScreenshot is just another form of malware, and is no better than something like Skype spamming up my system with unasked-for browser toolbars and adware. I appreciate the tool, but I'm not going to run any of your code if you feel it's acceptable to play fast-and-loose with your userbase like that.

I've seen that "lighten up" article posted no less than 4 times in this comment thread, except the unasked elephant in the room appears to be this: At what point precisely does someone's, or a group of someone's comfort factor with a given topic begin to influence whether that topic should be discussed, parodied, subverted, etc? On the left side of that point is where "lighten up" is an acceptable response to someone who is indeed being oversensitive or prudish.
