trackball

There are all sorts of uses where the trackball feels more ergonomic than the touch screen.

An upgrade I've made to my Alphagrips (with the optical trackball) is to use either a stainless steel ball or a teflon ball instead of the cheap plastic trackball.

The trackball is a Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman, which is no longer made, and I wish I had a few of these stashed to use for backups.

I find that the worst thing is the mouse, so I have a kensington trackball and switch hands.

Now I can switch between standard keyboards and right or left handed mousing / trackball / trackpads with ease.

My main usage of the mouse (actually, a trackball) comes from web browsing.

I always liked the trackpoint more than trackball, and the ThinkPad always had the best implementation.

Edit: Just remembered I also replaced the tiny balls holding the trackball with teflon balls.

I think the biggest improvement was just from replacing the main trackball though, I rarely have to clean the sensor/rollers anymore.

I use my MacBook Pro for work, where I am always connected to power, video, and a USB keyboard and trackball.

The other thing that I did was replace my regular mouse with a trackball.

A trackball in the ergonomic keyboards will be really nice.

Drop the "trackball" at the bottom and make it a little bit shorter and you'd be there...

I also tried the same stainless steel in 1/8", but that made the trackball loud.

For a short while some mobile devices sported a optical "trackball".

I'd test a pointing stick "eraser" or a trackball of some sort (because capacitive touchpad style won't work on everything) on the fingernail tip.

Been using Kinesis Freestyle 2 Mac[1] & bluetooth variant along with a Kensington Trackball[2] for just over 3 years and I'll never go back.
