The outpouring of negativity in /r/starbound did not come quickly or easily and could still be reversed.

I think Minecraft & Starbound are the only big ones, though I'm not sure if Terraria is or isn't.

Minecraft and Starbound are both procedurally generated, and I got lots of enjoyment out of both before eventually getting bored.

Also, while it doesn't have the replay value found in the Minecraft sandbox, Starbound procedurally generates not only the map/terrain but also the mobs.

Now I will definitely buy the company's next game, Starbound for full price when it's released.

IMO only Terraria and Starbound should be in the same category.

I think the Starbound devs have an external tool to do that sort of thing, but having it internal is even better.

So much crap that went into Starbound I could really just do without.

I clicked on the Starbound link and hours of my life vanished.

It's worth noting that when this Bundle was first released, the game Starbound (new, normally sells for $15 on Steam) was announced at a limited quantity release for a $10 Bundle price.

Now, Starbound in all likelihood still made a shitload of money, goes to show you how much opportunity is still there in video games, but the free lunch is going to end at some point.

The argument is that the buyer would not have otherwise paid $10 for the bundle if it didn't have Starbound.

Terraria is a much better game than Starbound, the platforming is better done, the design is tighter, the bosses way more interesting.
