Even if the Pixi is available on all carriers, the only key differential is availability.

The Pixi will sell like hotcakes because 1) it's gonna be cheap and 2) it'll be everywhere.

You might want to also look at Phaser.io, which is built on pixi.js and is a full game library.

I wasn't aware of pixi.js before, but I am now, I think it's great, thank you atrilumen!

After experimenting a little with phaser, i realized i don't need a full game framework, and now feel better served by pixi.js or ivank.js.

Phaser, which uses the really awesome pixi.js rendering engine, can read in files from Tiled, the map editor, and Spine animations.

Right now I'm torn between pixi.js and easel.js, this seemed like a viable alternative.

That said, I'm definitely interested in a performance comparison, and even though I gripe, I was really happy when Pixi was released.

Also, I thought the Pixi was going to be Sprint-only.

I don't intend to compare the two platforms, as one has two devs and the other an entire team, but my god have we been bitten by pixi in the past, and all I have to say is thank god that the demo game they released wasn't quite minified --for everything we needed, yet could not find, we found in there by digging.

No 3d really as such but pixi.js does have a webgl renderer that lets you add in glsl "filters" and has some built in.

The Pixi/WebGL "just worked" on practically every platform and is extremely performant.

Try Pixi.js [1] or one of the many frameworks that use Pixi.

However, it is planned for Yeah to have an interchangeable WebGL renderer at some point, similar to Pixi.js and Three.js.

That is assuming a lot, including that they won't flub the release of the Pixi.
