For my fellow hypochondriacs, DVT like symptoms in the leg can also be caused by issues with the glutes or piriformis (piriformis syndrome).

Even now, although I’m very active, just sitting in the same spot for an hour triggers piriformis syndrome.

I have some useful exercises, like the piriformis stretch, that help me manage the pain level.

We also do a lot of stretching, mainly piriformis, hamstrings and thighs.

The knee pain was dx'd as IT band / piriformis syndrome.

Stretch wise, I do the standard pigeon pose, piriformis stretch, and butterfly stretch.

I suspect my case is Piriformis too, which causes the same symptoms as Sciatica, but less likely people would have heard of it.

Bulging disc, piriformis muscle entrapment/impingement, muscle strain, somatization etc.

Stretch hamstrings, piriformis, possibly quad lumborum for lower back.

Not the original commenter, but I've started doing basic piriformis stretches.

I have two slipped disks, sciatica, piriformis syndrome and I'm 6'3.

Finally did some internet self diagnosis and came up with piriformis syndrome - had to do with the biking/exercising one set of muscles in one direction and not exercising alternate muscles/directions.

So if you have pain in the "middle of each or both buttocks" when sitting for a small amount of time, consider piriformis syndrome.

A feature request would be to add layering for muscles: I can't pick out the hip rotators and Piriformis.
