Adding an actual file picker (not only a photos picker).

This reminds me of one of my pet peeves about the iOS UI - the date picker control.

One feature is a color picker where you can enter RGB values by slider or hex value.

Also missing are a date picker and range slider, which is a pity for a UI framework.

In building a new product, there was a desire to make things like date-picker unnecessary.

You're right though - this wouldn't be a good replacement calendar picker for every app.

There are versions of the folder picker that don't even let you paste a path copied from your current open Explorer window.

A double tap on the minute picker switches between 1- and 5-minute increments, afaik.

This is a bit like saying CSS is too much code and it needs paintbrush tools and palette picker dialog boxes like Photoshop.

Employers are generally picker in companies who's primary service/product isn't software.

What about removing the default filtering lists from ublock and then building it back up as you go using the "picker" ui?

They included Songza's "mood and activity" playlist picker, which is great.

Part of it may be that "pee cee are eey" (or less commonly, "picker", "picker eey", etc.) doesn't really sound as nice as "regex".

A lot of those features do make sense, but I'm wondering about something like a "file picker." iOS devices have abandoned the concept of a file system from the users perspective.
