Someone1234's claims might be overstated, but it's not the crime that you're making it out to be.

The press, and some people here, are always saying they can't find good programmers, and it is certainly something that is overstated.

That's why I think the GP's complaints about pointers making safe shared data nigh-impossible in C++ was maybe overstated.

My experience has been that the awesomeness of ARC's optimizations is greatly overstated.
