His company, StrongLoop, would go on to be the owners of the Express repo, and Ben Noordhuis is one of the contributors to IO.js.

Joyent has not enabled these core contributors to make these improvements, and have seemingly alienated some great developers like Ben Noordhuis for political reasons.

Isaac is political from time to time since he's strongly aligned with the identity politics mob that attacked ben noordhuis back in the day.

It should be possible to go from Ben Noordhuis in Node to Ben Noordhuis in io, or Justine Sacco in IAC to Justine Sacco wherever she is now, or Sam Biddle to chastened empathetic Sam Biddle, or whatever.

That said, I do think that this is contrast to the Noordhuis incident.

I'm more excited to see that Ben Noordhuis is still working on Node.

But I do think you were an ass for escalating the Noordhuis incident the way you did, not because of your opinion on pronouns.

Usually, that means Ben Noordhuis, but often Andreas, Yang, Vyacheslav, and others on the v8-users and & v8-dev lists.

Problem with that situation was that the Joyent guy was commenting on Noordhuis, an employee of a direct competitor to Joyent.

First it was Ryan Dahl, then Ben Noordhuis, and now Brendan Eich...
