To be fair I'm not a logistician or train guy. Why are the depots necessary, and why at 80km intervals?

I also faced a situation where the contract a former logistician had entered into had become wildly unfair to the vendor, not through his fault. He started giving me problems and I offered to break the contract and find a new compromise that met my needs and his.

First of all, the joke makes no sense if you put a logistician instead of logician. Second, if you ask one person a question related to the opinions of all others, logically they can't answer yes or no, the only possible answer is "I don't know."

Same thing for the second logistician. The last logistician was able to say "yes, we would." because none of the other logistician said "no".

It's a shame that the US media is so politicized as to not recognize Operation Warp Speed and the men and women - from researchers, to logisticians, to clinicians - who have made this possible. It has been an absolute miracle of human achievement and will hopefully be celebrated by historians, since the current generation refuses to do so.

I'm not an experienced armchair logisticians, but it seems like at this moment: Russia can't bring in supplies to the airfields; Ukraine has anti-tank weapons that I'd expect to work well against supply convoys; Ukraine has a motivated population resistant to the Russians. Maybe the route from Belarus, through the Chernobyl exclusion zone is short enough to avoid interruptions.

That maintenance officer screaming at this guy's senior enlisted supervisor is in fact a logistician in company-grade uniform. Said officer can steer this airman towards court martial for a serious enough technical order deviation, but really can't do shit if exhaustive technical order compliance doesn't result in a desired outcome.
