I've noticed a lot of people feeling rather dysphoric lately.

What it does prevent is dysphoric emotional reactions on his part.

I had seen 'gender-dysphoric' before but didn't know the meaning of dysphoria and hadn't looked it up.

Where is their inclusion of transgender, gender dysphoric, gay, and lesbian speakers?

You do that because you feel deeply dysphoric about the gap between the body you've been forced into and your true identity, but it's not without cost.

Strictly speaking, that's not ironic at all; it's quite in line with what's routinely experienced by people trying to provide accurate and nuanced information about gender dysphoria, gender-dysphoric identity etc., and how to best help folks who may be affected by it.

Most people have no idea that "detransitioning" is actually a thing for quite a few trans folks, or that "rapid onset" gender-dysphoric identity is a serious concern as relating to a minority of young people whose self-perception and orientation seems to be strongly influenced by their "progressive" social milieus.
