Granite countertops vs normal countertops, in countries with serious inequality is actually a real thing and can mean the difference between somebody waiting another year for a house, and getting one today.

I have heard that modern Corian countertops (or generic brands making Corian®-style countertops) are quite durable, and somewhere in price between linoleum and stone.

Hell, the amount of uranium naturally found in granite will make some countertops emit significant amounts of radiation.

Don't forget that household appliances are a bit of a fetish item for new homeowners, along with granite countertops, recessed lighting, hardwood floors.

I have stone countertops that have a bit of texture, to it seems to grip pretty well.
