Carver in a sentence as a noun

At a hackathon about 6 months ago I decided to write a seam carver [0] in Go.

To quote pg [4], "You need that resistance [a friend to bounce ideas off of], just as a carver needs the resistance of the wood.

If you are a wood carver, you know that you can work wood with very limited tools, but having the right tool in your shop makes things a lot easier and simpler for the expert.
