One of my former co-workers drives from Austin to Amarillo each month, it seems the drive wears on him.

I have shared custody of my 7 year old daughter in an area (Amarillo, TX) that is geographically distant from metros w/ developer jobs, and Amarillo has little IT presence.

Having visited both, Amarillo is distinctly High Plains/Western while Knoxville is Appalachian.

What shared traits do you see between Amarillo and Knoxville?

The target could have been in Denver or St Louis or Las Vegas or Phoenix or San Diego or San Francisco or Amarillo or El Paso.

Anyway, Amarillo is pretty much exclusively.net but I'm sure you know that.

I can see the similarities between Amarillo and Knoxville.

This meets with my experience, not to mention that north of Amarillo and Midland/Odessa are currently booming, at least as far as can see when I'm out there.

I didn't even have to read the article to know that these are the bible humping jesus freaks out in west Texas from Amarillo down to San Angelo.
