You're not going to get away with selling dedicated ammeters or dedicated hardware voltmeters other than specialized apps (clamp on current meters, safety inspection high voltage voltmeters, thats about it).

Fluke, an electrical instrument manufacturer, has a copyright on the look and feel of its handheld digital voltmeters (DVMs).

If you get this stuff on a new boat or barge, you have to basically send around guys with voltmeters with really long leads, all over the ship...
