For visualizations that need to be shared IPython notebooks are great and work with Julia & R as well.

Because it works naturally with data, it's very easy to create great visualizations.

That's why I've been attempting to open source all my statistical analyses/visualizations, with detailed steps on how to reproduce.

Concerning the scalability of your visualizations: To my knowledge there are not many tools that can handle more than a few 10.000 data points without becoming slow.

Genuine question: when there are so many other ways to create attractive visualizations for the browser, why should someone pay hundreds of dollars a year to plotly for some of their "professional" and "advanced" chart types?

Visualizations of what talking points or ideas are spreading through what organizations (political parties, campaigns) and in what countries would be really interesting.

Visualizations and demos and games and such make sense to me.

Visualizations like these are incredible and I want to see more like them.
