Const data can be mapped and unmapped on demand.

Yep, 80% of my town is unmapped. The same goes for some other towns in neighboring areas that I've checked.

They trap accesses to an unmapped page at address zero. That page is often as small as 4096 bytes.

Or you can put in a memory area with unmapped sections on both sides if you are paranoid.

Hashmaps does not actually require unmapped keys to return nil or undefined. Javascript does because it is shit.

If a block is smaller than the pagesize, which many times is the case, a page will likely still hold other objects so it wont be unmapped and therefor not trigger a segfault. Valgrind is my tool of choice to find invalid reads or writes.

I know that some people have a safety need to stay more hidden than I do, and we should continue to make it possible for them to stay unmapped. But for the average person: I don't think their physical location is that significant or dangerous.

There is barely any stone unmapped in the country, and stones that move get updated within days. France, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are also very well covered.

Looking at it now, I can kind of access it next to photos of a venue, but many times the venue is on a street corner or down an unmapped alley so you don't get to choose where you're looking from. Each object decrements the reference counter in __del__; when the reference counter reaches zero, the memory is unmapped and reclaimed by the kernel. This would probably cause major fragmentation issues with small objects, so pooling might be necessary.

When I emailed Maged about it, he pointed out that if a thread was suspended on one specific instruction and some specific memory was unmapped before it could run again, the program could crash. I was amazed; I had thought hard about this algorithm, but had completely missed that possibility.

You can do this ordered by number the number of people per unmapped road segment to have the most effect. Another example, if you find that everyone drives off the road in a certain area then comes back on a little farther down and that no one drives the intervening segment, then the road probably needs to be adjusted.

Not to mention that an unmapped interstellar gas cloud, or an undetectable asteroid, is all it takes to deflect the projectile a few millionths of an arcsecond and make it miss its target.

Well assuming you run in virtual mode you could always leave the page/segment directly below the stack unmapped, this way if the stack overflows it'll trigger an exception by accessing invalid addresses.

In order to build a compelling portal in a totally unmapped design language, they need world class UX and social designers. Because they are so engineering heavy, I don't think they would have an easy time identifying and integrating those people as an independent company, even with Andreesen/Horowitz pulling strings for them.
