Java - A typesafe, managed JVM language perfect for writing microservices, Android apps, etc.

The whole standard library is really well thought out WRT typesafe functional programming.

But the bottom line is that you can do any typesafe thing you want to, within the rules of how the language works.

I was suggesting that, implementing a monad as a structure or an object would be typesafe, so I couldn't see what was insufficient.

Kotlin's are built with typesafe builders and inline functions.

You said that other languages aren't typesafe enough.

Also, I think Typesafe realize now that there is not much money to be made in developing and supporting a programming language (ironically, there is some to be made -- though not too much -- supporting specialist languages; see Ada and Matlab).

Out of curiosity (and as an exercise), what if Google decided to convert all the Java code and APIs to Scala (assuming they had permission from Typesafe)?

Typesafe is contributing greatly to that list.
