Palau was the last colonized territory to achieve independence with help of the United Nations’ Trusteeship Council, in 1994.

The Trusteeship Council was indeed disbanded in 1994 when they considered their mission finished, following the independence of Palau.

There is in the law the idea of trusteeship of personal property (the law of bailments).

Originally this was a trusteeship problem: the card-holders were the named beneficiaries of points schemes, but the cards belonged to the company.

It's been a great experience with exposure to everyone that make the local government (and related organizaions) run, as well as growing community trusteeship.

It's also missing Palau (became independent from US trusteeship in 1994).

Now Palestine didn’t explicitly fall under the Trusteeship, but that is only because Israel declared independence in 1948.

Trusteeship, tax laws and the like typically apply to anything of value, whether it's legally a currency or not.

Trusteeship can arise without anyone signing anything and it comes with high legal standards.
