Stemmer in a sentence as a noun

Slightly off topic, but wow - thank you for the Turkish stemmer!

As an alternative they could have used a stemmer [2].2.

I'm tired of google's stemmer getting in the way of doing specific searches.

I'm looking at the source code right now, and it seems Whoosh does use Porter stemmer to include word forms for English.

Perhaps we can bang a Snowball stemmer against it and get pretty good coverage on the whole language.

Thanks for asking this, I'd also be interested in knowing...Did you try the uea-stemmer?

I tried installing a module the other day, something simple like a word stemmer, and got so disgusted that I quit Perl.

Actually the english stemmer from libstemmer/snowball is already used.

The data is stored in postgres, so it should be simple enough to use the Snowball dictionary/stemmer and the tsvector/tsquery functions to sort this out.

Instead, it focuses on basic stuffs such as sentence splitter and tokenizer, bigram statistical test, phrase extractor, keyword extractor, stemmer, POS tagging, relevance ranking.
