How do you use dashboard SATnav if you shouldn't look at your GPS whilst driving?

Those squares can be mapped back to regular lat/long and navigated by regular GPS/SatNav.

With satnav, you'd probably catch a good portion of the rest who drive across.

UK has similarly useful alphanumeric postcodes and specifying them for satnav is the norm.

Drivers, blindly taking instructions from their satnav, will easily ignore the reality around them.

It seems unlikely that a satnav, even one that provides some sort of real time traffic information, will provide accurate information about expected journey times taking restricted routes into account.

I have a 2004 SUV with a 7" satnav in it and some god-awful software package.

Car absolutely obliterated the public transportation network which included the Shinkansen (ignoring the "I turned the satnav off accidentally and lost an hour" bit).

Satnav sucks in many cities, though, especially for POIs.
