These are really clunky and artless, it's like one of those webcomics that's really just poser models.

One of the biggest differentiators between a good coder and a poser is the willingness and ability to go several levels down.

There's a fine line between advice from someone who's been there and suffered in the trenches and a poser who's respouting the wisdom du jour he heard from another poser at a conference.

And then you discover that "helping people" has become such a poser cottage industry that simply _meaning_ to help counts, and that saying anything remotely unpleasant is cause for ostracism.

If, as posed in this scenario, the first poser provided incomplete information, and the second poster posted a question asking for clarification or more details, I really fail to see how this is laziness that needs to be pacified.

But if the question-poser revealed that the offeror is trying to maneuver the offeree into the result that's less valuable for the offeree, then the supposed mystery of the whole thing evaporates and the correct conclsion is obvious.

And of course they are a trap since if you memorize a bunch of trivia and then pose as a 'nerd' or what ever, when you come across someone who actually learned this stuff because they were fascinated with it, and invested the time, they will rapidly spot you as a 'poser' or a fraud.

Posers can be extremely sharp and useful if they get to do what they're good at, but they are posers nevertheless and at the start of a humbling journey to agnosticism - getting shit done instead of bickering and posing.
