In this case, it sounds like Streamnation really intends to keep running (and improve) the existing Picturelife service.

Except maybe picturelife but they bloat their app with editing and social features unfortunately.

And I take it personally when people don’t trust us to be able to keep Picturelife alive.

One of the features that I love about Picturelife is the ability to setup your own storage.

I have two kids; my wife and I are using Picturelife every day with our families in Europe and Asia.

One caveat to your point: in that comment, the Picturelife CEO was apparently criticizing Loom for shutting down their service after being acquired by Dropbox.

Having said that, I do agree that Dropbox + Lightroom + Picturelife is about as good as managing photos gets today.

I asked in another post how offering custom S3 buckets was working out for PictureLife.

Do you know if PictureLife works with Dropbox?!

Lightroom + Picturelife works pretty good for me.

Complexity aside, I'd be concerned that something like Dropbox, for instance, woudl have high latency with their API and then make Picturelife seem slow.

Interesting the company they feature, Picturelife, seems to be a direct competitor to their own new Carousel app.

Picturelife lets you specify your own S3 backing and lets you use their interface.

Picturelife has made it onto my homescreen and has supplanted several of the other apps I used to use.
