Ironically, one of my final projects was a personal organizer/notepad in C# that was going to be awesome...

If you buy a notepad, the paper manufacturer doesn't own it anymore and has no control over it.

That stack can help with fast development, but it's probably not as optimized as doing everything in notepad++, right?

But it's like a notepad at the moment though (no refactoring) - so any language goes?

Modern/professional frontend development won't and indeed shouldn't be something you can still just get done with Notepad and a few <script> tags.

There's something enormously satisfying about crossing out something you've written onto a quality notepad.

I used Google Notepad for a while and had great organization, then they shut it down.

My notepad of choice is the Rhodia dot pad.

And good Schemers can accomplish a lot of cool stuff with the proverbial Notepad.
