Depends on what the hell you mean by "matriarchy". The problem there isn't political views, it's when your wording implies you're so blinded by bigotry you've lost touch with reality.

I think what today's men must do is be strong and proud of being men, and not let the matriarchy's pseudo-inequalities get to our heads or we'll become submissive fem-men before we know it. Some people do everything they can to get attention, even if that's using their gender as a literal marketing tool...

The word "matriarchy" is an accurate characterization of our society to the same extent that "patriarchy" is. The former conveys how men are overrepresented at the bottom of society while failing to address their overrepresentation at the top, while the latter does the opposite.

Feminism is very broad already, a good example being the conflict between those who advocate for equality in political representation and those who advocate for working towards a utopian matriarchy. I just think it is confusing and weakens the argument being made by overstating it, to make the definition broader still.

Feminism isn't about replacing patriarchy with matriarchy. It's about egalitarianism for all genders.
