Just guessing, but it could be because he runs a competitor to Kleiner Perkins, who were tarred in the updated peice.

Looks like Kleiner Perkins is playing hard ball possibly not the best tactic given the high profile nature of the case.

Given her recent gender discrimination case against Kleiner Perkins and potential appeal, it would have made strategic sense to block anything sexist.

In the highly competitive world of private equity dealings, Andreessen Horowitz viewed a cowed, demoralized Kleiner as a less capable bidder for funding deals.

She was previously fired from Kleiner Perkins for unsatisfactory performance.

And her behavior at Kleiner was far from exemplary.

Which I guess means a counter is legitimate, who knows what the legal costs are for Kleiner.

Kleiner, and now they harvest the same results - insufficient performance and high scandals.

If she didn't file the lawsuit against Kleiner, I wonder if people would be calling for her to step down.
