In Germany, Kabel Deutschland, no longer offers ipv4.

I have mostly had experience with Kabel BW and Telekom.

I'm on Kabel Deutschland and have a static IPv4.

I'll be voting with my cash and the next time Kabel Deutschland contact me again about their shitty cable TV service I'll tell them again why I don't want it.

Maybe the experiences with Telekom in Frankfurt and with Kabel BW have been above the norm, but for I never/rarely had connectivity issues and it has always been much cheaper.

This script bypasses the stupid automatic redirection for session start/renewal on Kabel Deutschland WiFi hotspots; it might come in handy if you either live in range of one of these (like me) or are travelling in Germany.

I think the worst we have is Kabel Deutschland, they say in their ToS they'll slow filesharing services down to 100kbit/s for the day if you reach 10GB on that day with any kind of traffic.

Here in Germany one big cable-ISP (Kabel Deutschland), while not charging for the modem itself, wants you to fork over for enabling WiFi on it.
