Try being homeless. Except when you say 'failure' you mean "maybe I'll have to move back in with my parents".

I was homeless for a while. I've got my own business now and my finances are better and I still hate banks.

Having spent a couple years being homeless off and on, this resonates with me. During my homeless days I had a laptop for a while.

I also have an interesting past, having been homeless for a while. Who knows though, the system doesn't supply answers.

* This will make it a shelter for the homeless * There have always been homeless people on the busses, and I didn't notice a markedly increase. The fact that you still need a legitimate ID card and a fare card might help this point.

And I'm not just talking about people who are starving or homeless. You don't need a car to be happy, but if it means you waste far less time every week driving wherever you need to get to, it certainly has the potential to make you happier.

Jobs would probably have died homeless and friendless if Apple never existed. Jobs proved his talents in many ways as the CEO of Apple, but if it weren't for Wozniak, Jobs likely would have never had a chance to show us what he could do.

Decidedly forward-looking for a homeless guy, the owner started collecting them in one pile on whatever street he occupied. He slept under the same plastic tarp that protected his collection from the rain for 20 years.

I was homeless at that point and my car barely got me there, but I happened to have some friends in the area so I stayed on their couch and made up for it by cleaning while I was at home. My first paycheck got me living expenses, the second got me the new radiator that my car needed, and so on.

Busses became makeshift homeless shelters, which probably ended up driving away actual commuters. Seattle also bought fancy self-cleaning toilets many years ago in order to give tourists a place to go and to reduce public urination by the homeless.

The net result in the end being that the homeless are still homeless, life is a little bit more of a hassle for shoppers who don't have the right change, people are a little bit less connected with each other, and the dick who was emptying the trays feels like he's "made his point," whatever it was supposed to be. But all of that being said: This only applies when abuse makes the system unsustainable.

Apparently we're too primitive to get beyond the juvenile practice of cutting off our nose to spite our face, and it informs our drug policy, the way we deal with the homeless, our prison system, our views on social welfare, etc.
