There is no need for Godwin -- we saw that firsthand in the wars in former Yugoslavia, where many previously normal people turned (seemingly inexplicably) cruel and destructive.

Arguments to child porn I think are the modern equivalent of godwin's law - the moment it gets brought up, all productive discussion stops and is replaced by emotion.

And, it smokes out the Godwin trolls whose sole "contribution" is taking offense to everything.

Pardon my Godwin's law, but it's a pretty glaring example of the train-sized hole in this "no such thing as bad" idea.

So maybe one could call it "proto-fascism", although I'd generally try to avoid this particular f-word, as it does tend to Godwin discussions.

We need some sort of variation of Godwin's Law when it comes to text editors.

I submit it as a candidate for the Windows equivalent of Godwin's law[1] but without all negative implications:-).
