Do you just have this saved as a text expander snippet and use it in all your posts?

Accent is a core component of music and is completely lost in the compressor/expander wars of today.

It's never occurred to me to use Io for anything, but it's a wonderful mind expander.

Without being part of the phase before the macro expander, you can't prevent platform specific types from reaching the macro body.

As others have pointed out, the expander can't even survive expansion, and using regexes for code parsing is a poor choice.

Now you can't fix a bug in the expander and cheaply re-expand.

For instance i used to believe that phase 1 bindings where the functions executed by the expander instead of the one defined by define-syntax.

It could also be a compressor/expander setting, but IMO musical accent is so core to music that it should be a part of the volume control.

I've completely replaced my snippet/text-expander with Alfred (just need a basic one anyway) and the fact that it can be semi-infinitely extended (scripting etc) is a nice ground to stand on.

Understanding how racket module works is quite hard and you have the documentation, if you don't plan to play with the macro expander (the stuff that run your macro) and some dynamic features you don't really need to.

For that to work, backquote would have to be expanded after function inlining (a very curious architecture, indeed) so that the effects of propagation of the constants from the call sites into the function body would be visible to the backquote expander.
