Sweet, I am totally going to buy elysee gherkins the next time I see them.

As a young french adult, i tried to protest once against a government law i found revolting, by sitting peacefuly and quietly in front of the Elysee ( the white house equivalent) with a sign.

There is the Champs-Elysee with car dealships and over-priced cafes, and then the other boulevards with embassies and high-end apartments.

Basically, it would be like that god awful McDonald's on the Champs Elysee.

Eschewing what they perceive to be the pretentiousness of the Champs Elysee.

...should be at least as tall as the Salon de Fetes in the Elysee; that'd be appropriate.

I don't think these of themselves are the most important positives of Paris though, which for me include its great metro rail system, 19th century boulevards (such as the famous Champs Elysee) and beautifully designed buildings (even some of the most mundane).
