For all standard transactions, Dwolla seems to handle micro-transactions much better than BTC ever hoped to.

You can use Dwolla or Balanced, or work directly with a bank, to accept donations by ACH (bank transfer) as well.

You can paypal or dwolla money to me, I'll give you the auth code to transfer the domain.

If they go through with this, though, I guess I'm back to Dwolla if they haven't yet gone evil.

Those $0.00 fees from Dwolla are really harmful to microtransactions...

One of my sites uses Dwolla as the sole payment processor and also we piggyback off of their verification process to weed out bad actors.

From the payments market perspective it is one of the reasons I find Dwolla so interesting as they decided to just take on payments completely.

I think if Venmo and Dwolla track all your purchases and did things like share your purchase history with third-party advertisers who might use it elsewhere, that's a real concern.

Is there reason to suspect Venmo, Dwolla, and their ilk of becoming privacy-invading ad-focused systems (if they aren't already)?

Gox (via Dwolla, with a San Francisco office) and most recently Xoom, where $31 million vanished overnight.

Even BTC has a built-in transaction cost with every transaction (only a few pennies, but that's still more than Dwolla).
