You have stuff like the Dreyfuss Affair where mass media already played a role in polarizing people and playing into the ressentiments of the people.

I don't know where the belief came from but my ID department had a pipeline into Henry Dreyfuss and Associates right until I graduated.

But I'm not fit to give a full explanation here— thinkers such as Hubert Dreyfuss (What Computers Can't Do) do a much better job of explaining the critique (Dreyfuss is working off of Heidegger and other phenomenalist).

Unfortunately I'm not smart enough to condense an explanation to this comment box— but my disagreement stems from philosophers such as Hubert Dreyfuss (What Computers Can't Do) who are working off of Heidegger and phenomenology.

He wasn’t orthodox, didn’t believe God promised anything to anyone, didn’t speak Hebrew, but after the Dreyfuss affair (usual racist fake accusation BS) started to petition Rothschild (he was denied) and then other wealthier Jewish people with more success to start buying sand dunes and swamplands for Jewish families to return to Israel.

See for example less known “Dreyfuss affair” at MIT and the brilliantly titled books: “What Computers Can’t Do” and its sequel “What Computers Still Can’t Do”.
