Per Curbed and other respectable blogs on the topic of urban regeneration, Dogpatch is exploding, if not exploded.

There are still art studio complexes in the Dogpatch area of SF, in old industrial buildings.

When I was working in NYC's Dogpatch Labs, some of the other entrepreneurs were doing the standing desk thing.

I watched the revival of the Boston startup scene while involved with TechStars, DogPatch labs, etc.

Why doesn't 42Floors include Dogpatch in their neighborhood pull downs?

We're well funded from top investors, generating revenue w/ growth, team of 17, lots of fun/hard problems, and located in San Fran's Dogpatch district.

When I was living there, it was encouraging interacting with people at various hubs of activity around town such as the Cambridge Innovation Center and Dogpatch Labs.

I work out of the Cambridge Dogpatch Labs, and besides being a kickass office to work out of, the community that works there is very sharp and diverse.

We're currently at 13-ish people in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, with work spread across analog/RF/digital hardware design, statistics/ estimation/controls, (purely) functional programming, and distributed systems/casual webapp development.

"Real" startups say something like: - Kendall - Seaport - Cambridge Innovation Center - Dogpatch - The accelerator gives me a desk and WiFi.

Edit: I guess the answer is no, since they couldn't interest anyone in Dogpatch.

The east end of the city (the Mission, Potrero, Dogpatch) is generally fog free, and thus warmer).

While you can rent for cheap in NY due to transit, you can do that in SF too (see: Dogpatch).
