I'm a chorister in a few local choirs, and it's something my wife and I do together.

The interface would be a bit like command and conquer, but instead of ordering troops around, you'd be setting up violin sections, and mixing recordings of chorister's voices.

I was newly a cathedral chorister annd had had a lot of classical music lessons (piano, singing, even recorder) and exposure since I was 4.

In my days at a chorister, we did indeed rely on grand piano, acoustic guitars, eletronic 1980s-tech organ, and even drums/bass/violin, so unfortunately I did not enjoy much choral experience next to an authentic pipe organ.

I think you're preaching to a chorister - OP clearly knows that's right and wants to make it happen, they're just concerned about their potential liability if the ex-co-founder tries to make life difficult for them in that way too, after already doing other similar things.

I think it helped that I was a regular attendee at Mass before becoming a chorister so I had the advantage of years of singing in the congregation where you’re surrounded by people singing (or not) of various skill levels and it’s kind of expected that you sing around others.

When I joined my church choir in 2006, we had an unnecessarily elaborate sound system, including "rock star" solo mics for every individual chorister and a 24-channel mixer that nobody knew how to use.
