I climbed (hiked) Cotopaxi in Ecuador, and you can see Chimborazo from the summit.

I did the math once, and a track from the Galapagos Islands to the peak of Chimborazo on the continent in Ecuador would do it.

While Everest (8849m) is the highest point above Sea Level, Chimborazo (6267m) in Ecuador is further from the centre of the Earth (about 2000 metres further), due to the equatorial bulge.
