Dandelion & Burdock is still a popular soft drink in the UK as well.

I have the vaguest of recollection that burdock has this quality, but don't quote me on that.

Or a Velcro/burdock case so you can place the mobile on textile surfaces.

Similar but I'd say Dandelion & Burdock is better than Root Beer (as a RB lover).

You add it to roasted burdock and rye, and it tastes like mild-roast coffee, and it gives you a bit of a kick in the morning.

As an aside, dandelion and burdock may very well be the best soda in the world, so delicious, and sadly quite difficult to source outside of the UK.

In Serbia we never say Velcro but thistle stripe (burdock stripe).

Oddly enough the more I think about it, Vancouver, Canada has seem parallels to Japan in terms of some of the produce (matsutake mushrooms and burdock root).

Dandelion & Burdock is SO SO damn good, I always wondered why it didn't spread to the rest of the world, it was my fav soda growing up.

There's a fancy grocery store near me that sells scorpions, ghosts, and reapers, as well as burdock, tamarind, mango, etc.

That would never have flown in our (UK) class, where we grew up drinking Dandelion and Burdock pop It was however playground lore that touching them and licking your fingers would make you wet the bed.

In many other languages it is called "burdock tape" after the plant whose burrs was the inspiration behind the invention of velcro.

Burdock was also one of the authors of “The Ugly American”.

Weird because Americans and Canadians really like Root Beer but not Dandelion & Burdock.

Edit: In my local convenience store, I believe Pepsi actually lost out to Dandelion and Burdock.

I've never even heard of Dandelion & Burdock, but am quite familiar with Root Beer/sarsaparilla.
