If we had figured it out, we'd still have had to mail it somewhere to be aluminized.

I use aluminized Mylar potato chip or ramen bags for this.

The problem is that simple thin coat of aluminized paint is super expensive, as is a big mesh.

That said most people who took photos of the solar eclipse this year were using aluminized mylar filters.

Much more likely to be something like aluminized mylar than a silvered glass mirror that could shatter.

For bulk foods, like grains, you can use aluminized polyester film bags, and blow in pure nitrogen or drop in an oxygen-absorber packets while sealing the bag. Then you put the bags in a food-grade bucket and seal it.

I am not sure you can do it in full-color, from a battery or whether the user would be able to interact with it without an aluminized fire suit.

Like, I literally go to TAP Plastic and stare at the various aluminized mylars and think about maker projects that could use it, but I know I'm a rarity.

I'm also interested in this, perhaps using an aluminized mylar balloon or a large wire mesh with a Van der Graaf Generator and/or electron gun to maintain the charge.
